Job Description

A well established regulatory boutique in Austin is seeking a Regulatory Counsel to support its work with utilities, municipalities, energy companies and small businesses that rely on the firm for guidance in water, energy, utility and real property regulation. This position is focused entirely on advisory and compliance work with minimal courtroom responsibilities.

What You Will Do

• Provide regulatory guidance in water and waste water matters

• Support clients in utility and energy regulatory issues

• Assist with real property and administrative regulatory matters

• Draft regulatory filings, permit applications and related compliance materials

• Advise clients on regulatory strategy and administrative requirements

• Collaborate with attorneys across the practice to ensure continuity of service

What We Are Looking For

• JD from an accredited law school

• Experience in regulatory or administrative law

• Background in water, energy, utility, municipal or real property regulation is helpful

• Strong analytical and research skills

• Ability to communicate clearly with a diverse set of clients including utilities and small businesses

• Interest in long term growth within a regulatory focused practice
