Job Description
Our client is seeking a tax lawyer with at least 2-6 years of experience at a law firm. The ideal candidate will have broad experience working on public finance and/or nonprofit health care tax matters. Interested candidates should also have strong academic credentials. Must be able to work hybrid in Texas.
Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for providing strategic tax advice related to corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, financing transactions, and investment funds
- Providing comprehensive tax advice on complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private capital, and financing transactions
- Reviewing and drafting tax-related documents and agreements in connection with corporate transactions
- Advising clients on the tax implications of partnerships and pass-through entities
- Collaborating with the broader legal team to develop and implement tax-efficient structures
- Staying abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations that may affect the company and its clients
- Assisting in the resolution of tax controversies and disputes
Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate law, with a focus on transactional tax matters
- Admission to Texas Bar or intent to acquire
- In-depth knowledge of pass-through entities and tax implications
- Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
